The release date for the Josh Trank (Chronicle) directed The Fantastic Four reboot has been pushed back. Rather than it’s original June 16, 2015 release date, the upcoming superhero film will now be released on August 7, 2015. Now, this Fantastic Four film being one that has received so much hate, I am confident that there is no reason to doubt or panic. It’s not like the studio has pushed this film to January or February, months I consider to be the graveyard for blockbusters. This could simply mean that the studio is giving the post production team more time to touch up some visual effects or perhaps do a couple reshoots.
As for the August release date, Marvel has proved that it’s a month that can produce a lot of success for a blockbuster with Guardians of the Galaxy, given the right marketing and brand recognition. Comic book fans may recall the two not so great Fantastic Four films that were released roughly ten years ago, but it’s still a Marvel property. Also take into consideration the talent attached to this film, names like Josh Trank, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebell and Kate Mara. I’m obviously putting a lot of faith into this film, but I have been since the beginning. Those of you doubting are absolutely entitled to, but I’m telling you this film will surprise up all. Call it a gut feeling, due to the fact no trailers have been released, yet.
