Avengers: Age of Ultron is due out this May. It is easily one of the most anticipated movies ever, not just because of what the first one did, but because how the MCU is now and the characters involved. One of those characters that will be introduced and involved from here on out is Vision, the highly intelligent humanoid. So far we know that Paul Bettany (who voices JARVIS) is playing him and we have only seen a glimpse of the character so far. That all changes as a fan took a picture in front of a new promotional image for the movie, giving us our first real good look at Bettany’s Vision.
As you can see, it’s along the same lines of what Marvel did for the first movie, it’s just updated with new suits and the added characters. There are three things to be taken away from this image. First is Vision, the Ultron createn turned Avenger. It’s said that Vision will in fact be on ‘team Ultron’ to start out, as Ultron is his creator. But eventually will be fighting alongside the Avengers, as we can see in this image. He looks badass, I must say. They did in fact stay true to the comics, with the colors and suit look. We can’t really see Bettany is the face, it’s just to far away, I can’t wait to see what it looks like up close.
The second thing is the new Avengers Tower. We knew from the end of the last movie that the former Stark Tower would for now on out, be the Avengers home base. The building looks to be updated (and fixed after Loki trashed it) and with an all new Avengers logo on the side. Yeah, it is truly awesome to see.
The last thing is kind of two things. One, people are asking where is Black Widow? Well, with this dude standing there blocking some parts, it’s obvious that Widow is most likely hidden behind him. Which is a bit unfortunate for us. Another thing is where are the twins? Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the big additions to the MCU, we see Vision but no twins. What does this mean? Are the twins baddies? Will they turn good in the third act? All with come out next spring!
You can see Vision hovering in the background here:
I must say, this image isn’t in HD and it’s just a camera shot, but it’s excites me like no other. To see this team assembling again, with no S.H.I.E.L.D. holding them up or anything else, it’s freaking awesome. Not to mention that Captain America’s new suit looks so badass, especially with the new Avenger logo on the shoulder. Iron Man looks like he might be going back to classic colors which is definitely a plus. I don’t know, there’s just something about this image, unlike the one released from Comic Con (above) that gets the movie fanboy jumping for joy. I can’t wait to see these 7 (possible 9) superheroes battling it out against one of their toughest foes, there’s no doubt that it will be anything short of epic.
