The Maze Runner is a Best-Selling novel by James Dashner, one of the highest rated young adult book franchises out there. It’s now been made into a movie with the first part of the same name starring MTV’s Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien. With it due out in just a few months, the marketing period will pick up pretty good. To start that off, a whole bunch of new goodies have been released for the movie. Official synopsis:

When Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape.

Word on the footage that has been shown (Comic Con and other film events) so far seems to be pretty positive, especially with the young adult generation. Many people in the movie world seem to think that this is one that may surprise a lot of people and be very entertaining and fun. I for one am looking forward to it, more reasons than to just see the very talented Dylan O’Brien get his shot at leading a movie and possible franchise (if it does well).
