7 Years ago we got a game to movie adaptation of the Square Enix video game series Hitman from Fox. Unfortunately for us all, it didn’t go like we all wanted. Now Fox has let it be known that the movie would be getting a ‘rebooted’ sequel starring a new Agent coming out next year – it’s first images were released this weekend at Comic Con.
Known only by the last two digits 47 of a barcode tattooed on the back of his neck, an elite and genetically engineered assassin’s latest target is a young woman on the run from powerful and clandestine forces. The mission brings startling revelations about the lethal agent and his prey, hurtling them on a collision course with their pasts. And this time, his number may be up.
Below, we get out first look at Homeland star Rupert Friend in the Agent 47 role this time around. It’s said this movie will be a continuation of the Hitman movie from 7 years ago, but there’s no doubt that it will be counted as a reboot as well.
Hitman: Agent 47 will be in theaters on February 27th, 2015. Directed by Aleksander Bach starring Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Thomas Kretschmann, and Emilio Rivera.
