Since it is the 75th Anniversary of Batman this week, it was a given that there would be some kind of ‘wall of fame’ at SDCC this weekend. And since Warner Bros./DC’s panel won’t be for a few days, we weren’t expecting anything for the DCU until then. Lucky for us they decided to include Ben Affleck’s new cape and cowl for the presentation.

When we first saw Ben Affleck as Batman a few months back, it was definitely a new look for the Dark Knight (honestly, my favorite so far). A black and white image showing Batman in front of his Batmobile, with a new ‘real looking’ suit this time instead of the more armor type Christian Bale wore. Not only that, but we could see that the cowl was much different, the main thing was the shorter ears.

The two things everyone took away from it is that one, Affleck looks absolutely ripped (awesome!) and two, it resembled Frank Miller’s Dark Knight graphic novel almost perfectly – which got every fanboy and fangirl jumping for joy! Now we have a good full look at what Bruce Wayne will wear into battle against Superman in their meet-up a year and a half from now.
