New Clips for 'The Purge: Anarchy' & 'Lucy'

Besides Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the month of July is somewhat of a weak month for a summer movie season. Although there are some movies that may surprise or be decent, there isn’t anything that people will be running out of the house to go see. Two of those movies that have a good chance of surprising us are The Purge: Anarchy and Lucy, official and lengthy movie clips have been released online.

Last year when The Purge came out, tons of people were excited and very interested to see such a cool and creepy idea. I really wanted it to work out, but it didn’t like it should have – turned out to just be a home invasion. But now, the sequel looks like it could be that very movie we were all hoping the original would be. The flat-out scary thought of being trapped outside during a 12 hour period when all crime in level (including murder). Now that is what I was looking for last year, I just hope it turns out like I’m hoping it will.

The Purge: Anarchy opens in theaters on July 18th, 2014. Directed by James DeMonaco starring Frank Grillo, Kiele Sanchez, Zach Gilford, Michael K. Williams, Amy Paffrath, Carmen Ejogo, Justina Machado, and Brandon Keener.

Over the past few years, Scarlett Johansson has become a real weapon as a movie star, drama and action. It’s come to a point where I will watch her in anything, she’s now getting the chance to lead more movies. Lucy is one of those movies and I’ll admit, it does look kind of awesome. Mainly because of Johansson’s on screen prowess, but the concept looks very interesting and is kind of in the realm of possibilities somewhere down the line for our species.
