First Official Trailer for 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'

Christian Bale in 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'With all the images and posters released for Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings, it was expected that the trailer would follow sometime soon. It’s now up and I must say, it looks like it might turn out (hopefully) awesome from just the minute and a half we see.

Official synopsis:

From Director Ridley Scott (Gladiator) comes the epic adventure of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Exodus: Gods and Kings brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

The story of Moses is amazing on its own. When you bring in Ridley Scott, Christian Bale, and everyone else involved – there’s no way it couldn’t turn out at least good. I am extremely interested to see how this one turns out. And although it looks ‘white-washy’ (unfortunately) and that Ridley Scott doesn’t really get that ‘pass’ we used to give him (because he’s made some pretty bad movies as of late), I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt just because it’s such a great era and story to work with. Hopefully it turns out good, something entertaining with just minimal flaws will be good enough for me.

Exodus: Gods and Kings opens in theaters on December 12th, 2014. Directed by Ridley Scott starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley, Indira Varma, and María Valverde.
