Over the years we have seems one damn good war movie – Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, and Lone Survivor to just name a few. Those behind Fury, which so far looks like it will pretty damn entertaining, hopes to be added to that list. Let me just say that I’m a complete sucker for war movies so my hopes are up there!
Set in April of 1945, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and it’s five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Wardaddy and his men face odds in their attempts to strike at Nazi Germany.
We haven’t seen a trailer yet, but this featurette below shows a bunch of good footage and it looks straight awesome. It’s not focusing on a war, it’s focusing on a specific crew of the war the same way Saving Private Ryan did. Plus the cast this movie has already has me locked in for the midnight opening.
Fury opens on November 14th, 2014. Directed by David Ayer starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, and Scott Eastwood.
